The Streaming Giant Chooses Ideal Actor for Mr. 2 in One Piece Season 3
The Secret Organization is set to exert significant influence in the forthcoming season on Netflix of One Piece, although the real showdown won’t take place until the third season, and a beloved, fan-favorite member has now been chosen.
The streaming service revealed this week that the skilled actor has joined the One Piece cast for the third season and will play Bon Clay. The role has the ability to transform into an exact copy of any person they’ve touched with their main hand. The performer, who is gender non-conforming and goes by they/them, will play a rendition of that figure reimagined as gender non-binary, as opposed to as a drag performer, in the real-life adaptation, differing from the initial comic and cartoon version.
This performer is joined by several other new cast members tasked with bringing the group to the screen, including head Sir Crocodile, portrayed by Joe Manganiello, an emerging star as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who is also part of the lineup as King Nefertari Cobra of the fictional land.
Although Bon Clay is a major member of the group, the persona won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. Given the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden segment, this marks a major departure in the timing of their first appearance, one that could indicate further changes to the story’s structure.
The actor’s combination of excellent comedic sense and profound feeling makes them a perfect fit for the part. Along with their recent voice performance in the animated feature Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and several accolades for writing and starring in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, highlighting the versatility they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised figures.
The streaming service’s real-life One Piece series is set to return for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
